Let's see, which books am I dying to read? Well, obviously Catching Fire. The end of the Hunger Games left me dying to read more. What will happen, who will she end up with (if she lives). Book 2 - definitely is The Hollow. The cover is amazing, and I live within a few hours of Sleepy Hollow (although technically i don't live in NY). The third book I can't wait for is Rampant by Diana Peterfreund. I loved her secret society girl series, and can't wait to read more from her!

ReplyDeleteAh! It is almost impossible to pick three because I want to have them all right now so badly!
ReplyDelete1. Fire by Kristin Cashore (I loved Graceling! The world of Graceling was breathtaking and the characters were amazing - so I can't wait for another book like that; I'm hoping I'll find it in Fire!)
2. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins (I can't wait to find out what happens next to Katniss, its been driving me nuts!)
3. Beautiful Creatures (It was hard to decide between this book and Ballad, but Shiver is coming out soon so I will have my Stiefvater fix I suppose! BC sounds so intriguing - I'm really curious about it!)
My guess about your most wanted book?: Leviathan! (Hope I'm right.... :)

You are dying to read The Hollow!
Fire by Kristen Cashore--read Graceling which was absolutely one of the best books this year so far. It was actually the second 5 stars book that I graded (and you know how rare I give 5 stars). So definitely the sequel will be up on my to-get list as I have to collect the entire series.
ReplyDeleteHush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick--read reviews that sound so promising! LOVE the cover, love the summary. 100% drool worthy book!
Rampant by Diana Peterfreund--I actually had the pleasure of reading an ARC and let me just say that I am threatening some friends to start this book NOW. It was just that good. Killer unicorns!
I'm going to guess Ballads *crosses fingers* ahahaha I am so bad at this xD I have issues reading people's blog mostly 'cause my google reader always stays at 1000+ and never ever goes down no matter how many times I scroll and read xD
I follow you via google reader if that's all right with you :) I also am following you on twitter which was hard to find for me! lol Had to jump from Diana's twitter account to yours :) (twitter=ylin0621)
Is sidebars fine with the link? I have enough random posts to last a lifetime (as you can see by my poll ;P) so I try to organize everything :)
I'm loving your contest. 3 books I'm dying to read:

+1 Comment: Wow, I didn't fully realise what an awesome year '09 was for YA until I saw this list. My top three would have to be
ReplyDelete- Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins: I thought The Hunger Games was the best book of last year, and I've heard great things about this sequel so I'm uber excited.
- Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick: Patch sounds like the ultimate bad boy, mmm... bad boys. I also really like the 2 chapter excerpts available on Simon & Schuster, so I have great hopes for this book. The cover is also stunning.
- The Dark Divine by Bree Despain: I saw the cover. I've read the excerpt. And now I want the whole book.
+2 following your blog.
+5 to guess that your most anticipated novel would be Hush, Hush? For some reason my brain has associated your site with Hush, Hush. Perhaps because of the colour scheme? XD
Great contest! That list makes my mouth water!
ReplyDelete+1. My picks:
Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. This book is at the top of my wish list. The story sounds amazing what with the rivalry between the fallen angels and the total bad boy thing Patch has going on. I have high hopes for this series and this author.
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. I read The Hunger Games. I loved The Hunger Games. I feel like I lived The Hunger Games. And now I want more.
My last pick comes to down to two books with a definite Beauty and the Beast vibe; Shiver and Crazy Beautiful. They're both love stories about seeing beyond the appearance of things I think, but they're so different. One's sweet, melancholy, and poetic; the other raw, dark, and intense. Day and night. Can't choose! I pick... *flips coin*...
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. I listened to the first two chapters, and now I can't wait to see what happens next!
+1. I've linked you on my sidebar at crackinspines.blogspot.com

The 3 I am dying to read are:
ReplyDelete1. Another Faust by Daniel & Dina Nayeri - I love when classic stories are retold in modern times. And the Faust legend can make some really good stories. Cant wait to see how this one comes out.
2. Blood Promise by Richelle Mead - One of my favorite series and I cant wait for the new installment.
3. The Van Alen Legacy by Melissa de la Cruz - Another great series. Its really getting interesting and I am anxious to see what happens next.

+1 1.) Catching Fire because it is the sequel to the Hunger Games, which everyone knows is amazing. I've also heard many people say it's even better than the first. In addition, I really want to know more of Katniss's story. 2. Shiver because it is told from two characters' point of view, not to mention it is a love story--which is the foremost reason why I want to read it. 3. The Van Alen Legacy because I've read the other three books and it's impossible to not know what is going to occur in the next book, especially because of all the secrets revealed in "Revelations."
